I'm Steve, an independent designer based in Yorkshire. For over 20 years I've helped organisations that do important work present it with the clarity and care it deserves.
My background is in long-form and editorial design, working with charities, foundations, social housing providers and social enterprises across the UK. I've designed everything from short impact summaries to substantial annual reviews, often as part of a wider brand or communications project.
That experience means I understand the bigger picture: how a report fits alongside your website, fundraising and comms, and what it needs to do for the people reading it.
I work directly with every client, so you'll always deal with the person designing your document. I keep things organised, communicate clearly and stick to agreed timelines, even when content is still landing.
I also support design and comms agencies as a freelance specialist during busy periods, working within existing brand guidelines and handing over clean, well-built files. Whether you're a small in-house team or an agency at capacity, I'm easy to work with.
